Nice idea. IF IT WORKED Whenever you setup a git URL it will show the main folder but if you try to go into any of them it sends you back to the main page. I'm guessing the connection times out :/
Beautiful but Broken. I so want this to work, but like others here, I end up spending hours fixing up random characters in my code when I forget and do a quick edit on some Python. Their web app is awesome on the desktop, but avoid using this Android app for critical code until it gets fixed
This would have been perfect for me if it wasn't for the bug that makes it so unusable. it actually saddens me deeply. the bug is when you save the file from an android device/app it encodes tabs into characters that breaks the output through ftp (I have tried every type of encoding) it needs ASCII encoding added to it. this would fix the problem. I Very much hope this gets fixed soon.
For a development aide that requires the user to log in to a website simply to alter preferences seems archaic; not to mention the site doesn't even generate ( or isn't written in ) valid HTML so it doesn't display correctly on mobile browsers preventing all access therefore being useless in its current state.
Sloppy Quality Control A nice idea, but hasn't been thoroughly tested by the developers. The chrome app and the site itself allows third-party authentication (Github, Google, etc) but good luck trying to get that to work on the app; it just provides an email address sign in and prompts you to sign up when it fails to recognize you. You can even humor it and follow the "reset password" process, but that will just restart the whole loop again. For browser-based IDEs, Cloud9 is significantly better, and when/if that ever becomes available for tablets will be much welcome. For Codeanywhere, failing on something as simple as 3rd-party sign-in is a non-starter and an easy one-star rating.
If it only worked Okay it works. And if you are fast enough you can get to the file you want to edit before it takes you back to the main screen. Let's see what the new version coming in the next couple months will bring.
