Very usuful app, works as promised For some who needs to work with Waypoints out in the field, this app's ability to load and read multiple GPX files is a boon. I wish it could also read the Routes created in the GPX. If you don't want to or need to invest in a dedicated GPS device, then this is a workable susbstitute. I'm loving it. I'm a biker who goes on long-distance touring often. I create my GPX file in MapSource, and then I load it into Maverick. ROUTE feature is desperately needed
Doesn't work correctly with galaxy s7. Which map i prefer i always get blank map. I need to scroll trough and back just to able to get the view. It was working perfectly on my s5 mini. Thats why i bought the pro version on my s7 but its crap at the moment. Untill the issue is solved 1 star.
Problems with offline maps I bought the Pro version because of the map download capability, but this just doesn't seem to work for me. I select and download the area I want, but the maps don't seem to be available when I'm offline. Eg selected Ord Survey maps, selected area in UK lake district for download ( download appears to work) but the maps are not there when offline. Also there doesn't seem to be a way of managing map storage to use the SD card. I think I have wasted my money.
Good but not great I am in China and this works better than all the others I have tried. First thing that could be improved is that there are no English labels at all yet other apps had this. Secondly the direction marker is always wrong by more than 90 degrees although the direction of travel is accurate. When it doesn't have a detailed map why does it let you zoom in and then just show you a gray screen? And also I removed the zoom buttons in options but they keep coming back.
Still doesn't work on high-resolution screen It has been my beloved application until I upgraded my telephone to Lg G3 a year ago. On its high-resolution screen I see nothing: details are too small. I don't use Maverick anymore. There are a lot of applications which doen't have this problem. I have purchased Alpinequest instead. Resolve this issue and I will return.
Good navigator The Maverick GPS is a great app. It uses very low amounts of battery. It's nice for when you want to go out and get lost. This app will get you back to the start. It tracks every yard you move and every foot you climb very accurately. It is missing a few trails, here and there though.
