Great app and UI. Very simple to use and the dashboard is full of useful information. However the customer service is lacking. I've submitted help tickets regarding their id verification (no option for vertical driver licenses) but have yet to hear back from a representative. That's the only thing holding this app back currently.

When I first used coinbase it was brilliant and I thought I would never leave. But I was very wrong. Ever since the new updates it will not allow me to send BTC because apparently my device was not verified. Issues before this were not allowing me to add payment info which I wanted to use to trade, and with every update it would remove my pin protecting my wallet. So I think this is a case of "so long and thanks for all the fish" as I move onto another wallet.

A lot of work needs to be done to make this app fully functional. We need a maximum limit option to buy and we need to be able to set accounts up in a more timely manner. For now I'm not impressed with Coinbase at all, especially considering their astronomical fees.

Update: The app is completely busted. The company is overwhelmed with activity and they are failing under pressure. I can't even make a transaction just constantly receive "you have exceeded maximum charge attempts on your card today". Really pathetic business. They jacked up the fees in Canada today. Normally I would be able to stomach this. But this is disgusting due to the fact there isn't even a sell option on Canada. Shame on you coinbase Canada.

I like it (because it's the only mobile altcoin trader for phones) but, it is very limited as far as tools. No way to set a stop loss or short the currency. Also charts are minimal so i have another app for charts. Also frequently has pop up errors and freezing during high volume times aka when you might want to make a move.

There is no sell option for Canadian customers and the support Center will never get back to you. For buying it's always telling me I've reached my max limit for the week and I can't buy more digital currencies even though I've bought the limit many times and coinbasr hasnt increased my limit yet. Not impressed.

Very easy to use, wish limits were higher on CC transactions. The app is a bit buggy. For instance I can't buy coin with my Coinbase USD wallet if the app is secured with a PIN... It just defaults to my bank after I enter the PIN.

No matter the internet connection, it never really seems to function properly. The wallet doesn't update to show your actual balance. Transactions take at least 5 days everytime. The price chart is never in real time. When buying currency you have to estimate your purchase limit total to include the different transaction fees.

The best app for BTC trading for new investors. Very accessible, very clean and polished UI. With the recent crypto boom it's been having some issues, but these might have been tactical to prevent panic selling and a further crash. Tin foil hat but whatever.

It has the basic info about my account. I do not buy anything with Bitcoin so I do not know how that feature works here. My PIN number has needed to be reset more than once. That seems like a glitch. And the app logs me out on occasion, maybe that is a time out feature?

Pretty cool. I like the price alerts and generally smooth interface, but there's room for improvement. My largest peeve is that when I buy, the purchased price never reflects the price seen when I clicked "buy". I know prices fluctuate rapidly, so how about real-time accounting during purchase mode? Also, pending transactions are not viewable in app as far as I can tell and no access to referral link. (Most go to website.)

Use at your own risk. Service is often unavailable. They request new of the same identify verifications every day. There are limits on buying and selling. When the market gets busy their service is unavailable. Your money might get stuck.

Been a long supporter of coinbase, but sending eth to a pasted eth address is horribly broken and thier support is awful, all I get is chat bots and links to forums. Seriously disappointed by a company I used to love. When I tap send it just spins for a fraction of a second and takes me back to the send page, no error, no message, no idea if my eth sent or not. I pasted an address and confirmed it was valid.

App wont let you verify a payment method, such as a credit card and was pretty reluctant verifying ID too. So, end result is a platform that's meant to facilitate bitcoin trade but wont allow you to verify the payment method they insist upon. This wallet looks like it's going to stay empty. It does let you track BTC, ETH and LTC market fluctuations though, that's a good thing if you're happy spectating instead of trading I suppose. Oh well.

The app is wonderful, easy to use. I don't have any problems with it. I can buy bitcoin, litecoin, or ethereum with either a credit card or bank account instantly. What I don't like which has nothing to do with the app is the customer service. Almost nonexistent when dealing with problems with the main website.

I really like the app, but it has issues for completing tranfers since at leats a few weeks. I hope it will be fixed, because it's a real pain. Good luck to the team ! Thanks ;) New edit : transfers got worst, I tried as much as I could since yesterday, without success :/ if you add the 4% charges on every transfer, I think i'm done with it

They rob you in every purchase. For example, they charge you 30-40 cents more to purchase coins and when you sell, they give you 30-40 less than theyre worth. For a 500 dollar transaction, i got hit with over 60 dollars for fees and them being thiefs. Ill stick to my stocks thank you. They charge alot of fees on top of that.

This is a great app that simplifies the buying and selling of the most popular blockchain currencies. My only issue with it currently is that it takes 5-10 days for my purchase to go through which not means I can't buy and sell within a short period. It's also confusing to know while your purchase is pending at what price you will be buying the currency. The purchase should show me not only how much the total was, but also how much I am paying for the currency.

It was terrible to get up and running. Wouldn't accept card details and bringing up errors when trying to buy currency. We were dubious about using coinbase because of this. Though I believe the problem to be fixed. Now it is working it's great for tracking the figures. The weekly purchase limits also confuse me. I have a considerably lower value then my husband. so why are the limits not consistent between account?

Utterly appalled. Tried numerous times to make transactions yesterday, so much I couldn't charge my card anymore. Nothing went through. Now ethereum is up 40%. Coinbase is atrocious and I'm taking my business elsewhere.

I never received my coins. Dont use coin base... you will be just looking at charts feeling like you missed out on chance to make money because you never received your coins. It will tell you your coin arrival date, and never arrive on time. It had credit card outtage for a week. So trash

I don't use coinbase anymore. I got sick of the rediculous fees that are over 10x higher than Gemini exchange. $1000 on coinbase is $14.90 fees, on Gemini it would be $2.50. only an idiot would willingly pay that much more. Litecoin is dead, they should have added zcash. The only reason I still have their mobile app is to quickly see a rough price check on ethereum, then I go to Gemini to make trades.

Really poor performance. Sometimes you can't sell and sometimes it doesn't even login. You should avoid it for trading/exchanges and use it only to check your balance.

Took several attempts to verify. Once verified it keeps asking me to verify my account (even though I've done it) before payments can be made. Once payment info has been added, it keeps asking for payment info... Buggy

WOW, IT IS SERIOUSLY EXPENSIVE TO BUY AND SELL ON COINBASE!!! It is a perfect example of why there is a need for something like Ethereum which decentralise markets and allow for free trade of currency and stocks etc.. The reason it is a great example is that it's easy to buy when prices are high but the system conveniently breaks when the prices fall, stopping you from selling as it could cost them money. Just be aware you will not be able to use coinbase to trade and make money buying and selling.

Still has a few bugs that only seem to manifest on a slow connection. Prices and balances seem to show the previous 'coin' value when switching between BTC/LTC. Otherwise a great app. Fix this and you've got 5 stars from me...

The website works better than the app. The app wont allow a transfer from the vault to wallet. I had to use web site. But then after i did that it shows funds or bitcoin pending for days in limbo. Very slow process.

Is ok but a pain to sell and buy exact amounts due to fees and limits. You have to keep entering the adjusted amount until you find an amount that works and doesn't error. Share with friends doesn't work as well. missing functionality like buy max or sell max as like on the website. Buggy funding account with credit card. Sometimes works sometimes not.

This app is simple to use and pretty easy to link bank accounts to. There has been a few glitches and to see immediate transactions isn't very quick which may be due to security which has its benefits *update* my bank shows transaction but I'm still in able to see coin and there for at a disadvantage. Not happy.

Im a long time user of coinbase who just gave up. Better store your crypto elsewhere. They treat the bitcoins as their own, block me from withdrawing, trace and supervise to whom I send the bitcoins... But the worst thing is there is no one to talk to. Their support keeps ignoring me so im stuck with no solution. When they do get back they have a mantra of "not possible"

The coinbase app and website allow you to buy and see BTC, LTC, and ETH. It could use a lot of work however. Features that need to be added include trading directly between cryptocurrencies, lower fees, a wider variety of currencies to trade between, stop loss and limit orders, etc...
