MyShelf exists for Android and your Desktop. So you can have your all-in-one database everywhere with you. MyShelf stores all data locally on the device. It is entirely independent from the Internet and MyShelf apps on other platforms. If you want to sync data, MyShelf apps will simply exchange their data across devices.
MyShelf does not rely on cloud services. No privacy concerns, no service downtime and no network problems. No monthly fee for a service provider or premium features.

"Internet/networking": Solely used for optional Wi-Fi syncing with our free Desktop client. In no event will MyShelf connect to the Internet.
"USB storage": For storing the MyShelf database on the SD card instead of the internal storage (user's choice).

Just create a task to raise a custom notification on your phone at a scheduled time every day.
Give your task a URL and clicking the notification will send you to that URL.
I've been using this to link to a 1-question Google form with a question like "How many pushups have you done today?" This way you can easily collect data on your progress, too!
My theory is that this simple pushed question workflow (PushQ, get it?) acts kind of like a virtual coach. You might just look forward to reporting your progress at your "appointment"... or dread the prospect of recording a lack of progress when notification time comes around. Too crazy to work? Perhaps.
