I had been excited to use an app that would support my local Main Streets. I will not use an app that asks for my banking information. I was prompted for my banks username and password. I would have been ok with simply connecting my card, the same way that I would using Amazon for example. As someone who has had their identity stolen, this is not okay. I have passed along this information to City of Boston folks. So, I am going to now uninstall.

This app requires that the City of Boston receives BOTH my username and BANKING PASSWORD, enabling X number of users to access my bank account. The response to this has been consistently, "Oh no, get in touch with us". NO! This should not be taken private. This needs to be exposed. People that use this app are risking their bank account being hacked. The RESPONSE should be: we screwed up, it will be changed immediately.
