Seems to be secure and leightweight The photoTAN application requires less than 4 MB of storage space and has reasonable permissions (it just requires to take pictures and to control vibration). I did not yet experience problems when scanning a photoTAN as the application recognizes scanned codes even under bad light conditions. Its perspective transformations work quick and properly on slower phones. The best thing: it does not require an internet connection on the mobile, thus preventing attacks from moles who want to snoop around. In a nutshell: Commerzbank did a great job.
English This is the only commerzbank app that can translate to english, the other apps don't bother and are useless. It's very frustrating to know that your bank does not cater for non german speaking customers.
Verschwindet Verschwindet irgendwie ständig auf meinem Handy? Ca jedes mal wenn ich eine tan brauche
Easy set-up Just installed and activated with my Samsung S3 - very easy. Hope the rest will be as painless. App is straight forward and graphically logical.
Needs an option to scan a screenshot and a pin lock Some mobile apps asking for phototan activation (BVG tickets for example). There is no way to proceed with payment without second device that will scan the phone. Pin lock is necessary too. Other than that it's very useful and fast
Almost great Needs a way to retain activation, or a backup/restore feature. If I change which Android ROM/kernel I use and reinstall the app it will not recognise me, even if I restore the apps data
