Turn you phone into a networked SD stick and an extension of your networked laptops and computers.
Feature packed, professional, productivity software. Integrate document directories throughout home and business networks with your Android devices. On your device, you can access documents that reside on other phones or on Windows™, MacOS™, or Linux computers. Access enterprise storage locations such as Sharepoint ™ and RAID storage arrays. Supports full Microsoft Office ™ Interoperability natively on Android. PCs on your network can also access documents directly from your Android device
Data is always secure and always under your control. Documents never are stored in the “Cloud” or emailed to yourself. Documents are never replicated so you never need more than one version of any one document. You are always working with the one official version of a document on storage you control. Open, edit, and store documents directly from Microsoft Office™ applications onto your home or enterprise’s shared storage.
There are similar solutions available for Android but they differ in significant ways. The ability to access network resident documents is only provided to proprietary file browser applications. These applications copy the documents locally and then start your desired document application on the local content. The document application never directly accesses the remote document. This approach is cumbersome and limiting. There is no guarantee that changes you make to the documents are reflected in the remote file. File locking is typically not provided so it’s possible multiple sessions will overwrite each other’s changes. Connected SMB utilizes the latest in Google™ Android APIs that provide seamless integration of document providers with Android applications.
Connected SMB for Android also provides MacOS, Linux, Windows, and Android applications access to files stored on ConnectedSMB Android devices. This essentially turns your Android device into a networked SD stick. Access files stored on your Android device without needing to run special PC applications.
Intuitive interface to identify file servers or computers.
