Our simple user friendly app allows you to:

Our app has the added functionality of a ‘Buddy Phone’ service. Include your buddy’s number to your booking and we’ll send them a notification so that they can track your taxi. We can even send them a text to let them know you’ve arrived safely.

City Cabs have been operating since 1925 and boast a fleet of over 440 taxis with around 1200 drivers who have all passed ‘The Knowledge’ test of Edinburgh.

Ratings and reviews

The app it's intuitive and not so difficult to use, you can pay by card also. Issues: The cab was almost 20 min late, I ordered it the day before to make sure this wouldn't happen THE BIGGEST ISSUE: My card was charged TWICE (two days before I was charged again with no reason the same amount I have payed before) I wrote an email to the accounts assistant to get my money back because I didn't ordered anything (I uninstalled the app). Still waiting for a response, then I will change my review...

App showed £15 for my journey, then driver wanted to charge me £23. You definitely won't pay what is being shown. Reached out to City Cabs and while they offered a £5 discount code, I definitely won't use this service again. Past 3 rides(regardless I used the app or not) I got ripped off. Two stars, because they are at least reliable, turning up and quick.

Unreliable "booking". I've used city cabs for years but they now have a new unreliable booking system in which a "booking" merely automates a taxi request 10 minutes before you have asked for one. Drivers can chose to accept or decline this request just like an Uber. This means it is no longer reliable getting taxis to the airport if you live in a less populated area. After waiting for several minutes for a "driver to be allocated" with no success, I rang and received an automated voice...
