Babylonian Twins is a hand-crafted 2D puzzle platformer set in ancient Mesopotamia. Guide the twin princes of Babylon, Nasir and Blasir, on a quest to free their kingdom from an evil sorcerer. Freeze one twin into a stone statue — use him as a stepping stone, or as a weight on an ancient mechanism — while the other dashes, drills and battles through five hand-crafted worlds. This is a platformer where thinking beats reflexes: the jump you cannot make is usually a puzzle you have not solved yet.

Created in Baghdad in 1993 for the Commodore Amiga, Babylonian Twins was the first commercial-quality video game made in Iraq. It was lost to history for seventeen years, until an acclaimed rebirth in 2010 brought it back. If you grew up on Amiga platformers — the deliberate pacing, the hand-drawn parallax backdrops, the puzzle-first level design — this is a retro platform game you never got the chance to play.

I decided to pay for the game as I played it many years ago and really enjoyed it. It gets 4 stars because I can't toggle off the music. It constantly switches back.

5 star. Amazing platform game. Played this years ago, so so glad to see it back in the play store. Simple premise but challenging logic puzzles that take time to work out and beat. And the music is great.

I love this game. It is challenging and the game art is absolutely amazing. I am Assyrian and from this part of the world so having a game that involves our history is truly amazing. Hats off to the developers and all involved for creating such a interesting game.
