Good start, needs a few more features Nice interface, cute, easy to use. I would like for dollars to go down to the cent. for now I'm using points to the dollar. But my son would relate better to cents. Also would like to have separate logins for kids and link that to the parent account. I think the kids view should be like a browser sort of. At the first page top should say home, and how much they've earned in the piggy bank and badges and rewards earned. Then have tabs at top to click on saying past due, today, tomorrow, week etc.
I would give it 5 stars except it takes forever to load screens, go from one person to another and to load the chore screen to approve or say you have completed. If my kid does 3 chores it can take close to 5 minutes for it to load to check off 3 chores I have fios so it's not like I have slow internet speed. Improve the loading speed am going to look into other apps because of this.
It's ok I have older kids, so my kids rely mainly on their phones and are home while I am at work. I would like this more if they could have sub accounts on their phones linked to mine so when I load a chore it appears on their sub account on their own phone telling them what to do. This only works if they use my phone which they don't.
I love the idea but there are obvious issues. You can't delete chores, the kids can access the parents account, and it is SOOOOOO slow!! Plus it would be great if parents got a notification when chores were marked complete. Can't wait for these issues to be corrected!
Missing the essentials The simplicity of managing and completing chores is very well done. However, the lack of security between kid and parent account makes it impractical for use. Nice start, but we will have to wait for the future release.
So, I give this three stars instead of four I almost never give fives nothing is perfect. The app is great on my phone but I cannot get it to go on my son's tablet. It is not compatible with this version since it is an older model (a samsung tab 3). The thing is, with children under the age of 10 or 12 they aren't going to have the newest operating system on their tablet / iPad. My experience they usually getting a hand-me-down from a parent or older sibling. In order for them to use this you should offer a version that is compatible with older operating systems.
This update includes multiple bug fixes across the app, as well as new functionality for past due chores.
