About this app

Android version of the popular CPU identification tool for PC, CPU-Z is a free application that reports information about your device.

- SoC (System On Chip) name, architecture, clock speed for each core ;
- System information : device brand & model, screen resolution, RAM, storage.;
- Battery information : level, status, temperature, capacity ;
- Sensors.

Requirements :
- Android 2.2 and above (version 1.03 and +)

Permissions :
- INTERNET permission is required for the online validation (see notes below for more détails about the validation process)
- ACCESS_NETWORK_STATE for statistics.

Notes :
Online Validation (version 1.04 and +)
The validation allows to store the hardware specification of your Android device in a database. After the validation, the program opens your validation URL into your current internet browser. If you enter your e-mail address (optional), an e-mail with your validation link will be sent to you as a reminder.

Settings screen and debug (version 1.03 and +)
If CPU-Z closes abnormally (in case of bug), the settings screen will appear at the next run. You can use that screen to remove the main detection features of the application, and make it run.

Ratings and reviews

The app works well for about five minutes then the full screen ads start. They are the type you can't close and you can't use the app until they finish playing except they never finish playing. If you are trying to view HW stats on your phone while running a process or task, you can't. I tried running it in split screen which was useful for about five minutes, then as I said the obtrusive ads started. I get that is how they make their money but they kill this app. I have already uninstalled it.

I've been using CPU-Z on my PC for years and I love it but the mobile app ain't it chief. I've installed this on multiple different devices/types of devices (S23 Ultra, S24 Ultra, Tab S8, Fold 6) and more than 80% of the time it doesn't function properly whatsoever. Most of the time it just won't display anything until you kill the app and relaunch it 5, 6, 7, 8+ times. The fact that this app even has 4 stars is by itself a miracle.

I've been having thermal problems and was using this to try and narrow down the problem but the briefly working then throwing me into a (unskippable) 30s ad, the thermal problem cools. Unhelpful, I get you have bills but the loading the app then having to cycle through to load the ad to nake the app work? Lmao, I'm out.
