Halfway there I feel like this game is a great concept, only partially realised. There is no reward to achieving the victory point threshold other than bragging rights; the enemy continue to attack in the same increments of increasing difficulty, the same cards are available to add to your deck, both in battle victory and spell cards. All that changes is the next threshold and the fact that there are less and less resources around. I feel that the game would be improved by unlocking new cards by achieving, vp thresholds.
Great::::except for the new changes I highly recommend this game. It took me a long time to find a game I didn't get bored with in one hour. I love everything about it..I just wish I knew when I should abandon a city and what the best strategy is.I can't get past 170 victory points..UPDATE..Since the last update, I don't like how you changed the game..I used to like how you could buy units instead of only getting them through the city upgrades..also, I think you should get more than 1 vp for killing monster armies, but its still great!!
No win condition makes it futile To devs: thank you so much for making a game that doesn't require continuous pay to play. To players: before spending hours on this game you should know that it cannot be defeated. The goal is to get the most victory points or objectives before you go extinct. Not very satisifying. Quite depressing actually.
Not bad, not great either Too much hype around this game!!! I'd play solforge any day over this, but i prefer card & strategy to arbitrary troop placement war simulation.
Empire is excellent! A brilliant spin on the conventional strategy genre. Resources are finite, difficulty is high, and every decision counts. The CCG elements add a lot of excitement too. Fantastic!
Brilliant design, great art, fun game! Absolutely worth $3! This clever game feels like a cross between Civilization, a Tactics game, and a deck building game, with the "new game every time" feel of modern rougelikes and survival games. Play this.
- Only large monster armies will be spawned after a certain amount of turns.
- Monster armies now move slightly faster. Once every 2 turns on normal terrain and once every 4 turns on mountains / gems.
- Fixed game repeatedly crashing when going from combat to the world map.
- Fixed rare crash.
- Fixed bug where monster hives would no longer spawn because the entire map was filled with ruins.
