Your cellphone screen isn´t a UV lamp but we have optimized it as much as possible you may not be able to se anything in daylight you have to do it in a rather dark place. On the other hand the watermark view is strong enough for you to use it anywhere.

HydroColor has an easy to use interface that guides users through the collection of three images: a gray card image, a sky image, and a water image. To ensure the best results, HydroColor taps into the device's GPS, gyroscope, and compass to aid users in the collection of these images. After images are collected they can be analyzed immediately. In the analysis of the images, HydroColor calculates the reflectance of the water body in the RGB color channels of the camera. It then uses the reflectance values to determine the turbidity of the water in NTU (nephelometric turbidity units).
The data is instantly saved and can be accessed again via HydroColor or downloaded onto a computer from HydroColor's data folder. The text file contains additional information about the measurement including: latitude, longitude, date, time, sun zenith, sun azimuth, phone heading, phone pitch, exposure values, RGB reflectance, and turbidity. Proceeds from HydroColor will go toward developing additional algorithms for HydroColor and to creating additional Apps like HydroColor.
How it works:
HydroColor uses the camera as simple light sensor (photometer). Relative light intensity can be measured by normalizing the camera pixel values by the exposure. Therefore, the three color channels of the camera (RGB: Red, Green, Blue) provide a measure of light intensity in three regions of the visible spectrum.
The light intensity measured in the water image is corrected for sky reflection off the surface (using the sky image). The corrected water image provides the intensity and color of light emanating from the water. This is normalized by the ambient illumination using the gray card image. The final product is a nearly illumination independent measure of the water’s reflectance, known as remote sensing reflectance. In oceanography, satellites are used to calculate the same product (remote sensing reflectance) from space.
The reflectance is directly related to the amount and type of suspended particles in the water. An increase in turbidly (i.e. suspended sediments) will cause greater scattering of light and increase the overall reflectance of the water. Particles containing pigments, such as phytoplankton (algae), will absorb light in specific regions of the visible spectrum. Thus, pigment containing particles can be detected by comparing the relative reflectance in the RGB channels.
For square, rectangle, oval, and round pools enter the exact width and length. For irregular pool shapes, enter the average width and length by taking a measurement at the widest point and the narrowest point and adding those two numbers together. Then divide the result by 2 to get an average.
For pool depth, enter the depth of the shallow end and the deep end. If the pool is flat, enter the same number for the deep end and shallow end.

The flow rate is calculated based on a container volume and the time required to fill that container. Enter the container capacity or volume and use the app's built in stopwatch to measure the time required to fill the container. The results are presented clearly in units of gallons per minute (GPM) and gallons per hour (GPH) or in metric units of litres per minute (LPM) and litres per hour (LPH) depending on your preferences.
Use any standard size container such as one gallon, five gallon, one litre, twenty litre etc..., or enter a custom container capacity in either fluid ounces or litres. If you do not know your container capacity, enter its dimensions in inches or centimeters and the app will calculate its capacity or volume. Typical containers used for measuring water flow include the bucket, plastic bottle, jerry can, pan or any other small reservoir available.
For irrigation, use the app to determine the flow rates of micro sprinklers, sprinkler heads, emitters pumps and drip tape. Other farming applications include measuring the flow rate of springs, wells, pumps and spray tips on agricultural sprayers.
The app also calculates the volume of any rectangular or round container based on its inside dimensions, useful for swimming pools, tanks and drinking water reservoirs.
The app is a tool for easily and quickly measuring water flow rates and container volumes. With this information you can take steps to save water due to drought or reduce your utility bill.
The app does not require a connection after it is installed and does not contain advertisements.

A one of a kind In-College Application surpassing the android capability with good memory manipulation and management using complex custom algorithms taking into consideration the space and time complexity to bring you an app that tries to achieve the best in all areas.
This app's main goal is to be the ultimate guide to a student wanting accurate guidance while on campus and off campus using it's uniquely built GPS Navigation system.
This application has the capability to escort a student from anywhere in NY to the front door of their classroom location or building with just less than 3 clicks.
This application has the ability to use a special offline GPS mode not requiring GPS to be turned on, which is impossible to achieve without the custom backend built gps routes.
This application has the capability to display upcoming events and each event is clickable. When selected, a page with the event information is displayed, but that is not the interesting part. The interesting part is that when the event is on campus, a button magically appears "Take me to this event" which of course you guessed right- will escort it's user to the event location from anywhere in NY.
This application has the capability to carry out a proximity chat system entirely based on the school's buildings. The are about 70 chatrooms, a user is initially put into a chat room based on current location, however that user can add or remove other chatrooms. When Chat Rooms are added or removed, the messages you see are updated so that you only post or receive messages from the chat rooms you have added. You need a Stjohns email to use this feature, which also means you will talk to St. John's students, faculty or professors, rather than entire strangers.
This application partially implemented the school public webcams. They include the laptop shop and financial aid cams. In the future we plan to implement the webcams for the food courts.
This application has the capability to search for any faculty or professor, giving out very detailed information including ratings.
This application has perks as follows: preview of buildings change from a day to a night picture depending on the current time, some locations auto type extra information(i.e shuttle bus location will also show the times of departure), choosing destination as a class will also tell you what floor to proceed to upon arrival or if it is a basement, any time you need to go to a location, the 'real' estimated time and distance will always be given. The In-College routes are not just ok routes, they are one of the best and fastest routes obtained from a basic algorithm and knowledge of a Senior at St. John's combined.
As you may have noticed, this is a beta version and all these features are the beta features... Imagine how much more we could add with proper support from the University. Every design, source code, web server resources are owned by 'Creapptive team'.
Please also note that GPS is very hard to handle and errors that were never seen during our 3 weeks testing phase could magically appear based on the device. So there is an offline gps option.
This app preserves your settings.(i.e if your GPS was off before you ran this app, it will be turned back off).
Don't forget to look at the In-app mini-tutorial if you encounter any problem with the real-time In-College gps.
