How does it work? It uses your device's camera to see, uses your device's microphone to hear and uses your device's speaker to talk. Using camera can be disabled in which case SpeakLens can only hear and talk.
While using SpeakLens with camera, you can see what SpeakLens sees from the camera view. It also shows the recognized hands in the view which can be used to point at things for SpeakLens to focus on while chatting.
You need to sign up a SpeakLens account and sign in to start using it. Your spoken messages in texts (not the sound it hears), SpeakLens's responses and the captured images through camera will be stored in speaklens.com. You can go there in a browser to see the history and delete your chat history if you want to.
Using camera can be disabled in the app through the configuration settings. Once disabled, SpeakLens won't be able to see and no images will be captured or saved.
