La Crónica Riojana is a media outlet founded in 2025 with a commitment to providing accurate, timely, and comprehensive photographic coverage of events in La Rioja. We also started with a clear conviction: the public deserves access to truthful information, free from bias and external interests.
Although we are a new publication, we arrive with a genuine passion for the region and its people. From day one, we have covered local events with the same high standards as any leading news source.
And we do so by reviving the spirit of one of our region's historic newspapers: La Crónica Riojana, directed by Rafael Ortoneda and founded in the summer of 1880. We combine the tools of modern journalism with the personal touch that only a Riojan publication can offer, reaching our audience through our website and print magazine.
