Great for Anime Don't listen to the people that give it 1 star because of the ads, the ads are less than the ones on TV, so it's a perfectly fair trade, and it also gives back to the anime companies. This app contains a wide variety of anime to watch, and all the mainstream ones, too. Although it's only in subtitles, it does not miss out on any episodes that air in Japan. Membership gives benefits like HD quality on older TV series, and no ads, which makes the experience even better. Definitely worth your time.
Great App for Anime I've had a premium Crunchyroll subscription for about a year and a half, and I haven't once thought of cancelling it. The mobile version works better than some of the more high profile streaming services for me, and they have a great selection to choose from. Some examples include JoJo's Bizarre Adventure, every episode of One Piece in the original and HD animations, Hunter X Hunter, Yuri on Ice, and many more popular series. Just be warned that some series require Premium to watch, such as One Piece.
For The Ones That Does Not Know Is not that there is to many adds, u have to actualy pay for the app to have full service otherwise u wont. I have had it for almost 3 yrs now and is an awesome app with lots of lots of anime. Just pay is like $7 monthly way cheaper than Hulu or Netflix and the quality is just as good. Stop complaining about it is a great app.
Too many ads imo Can't watch more than 5 mins without getting bombarded by at least ads. Without paying it is near to unusable. They are certain to make more money off ad impressions per person over the course of a 12 episode series than you have to pay them for at least 2-3 months. If there were less ads I would rate this very highly.
Forget the ads So much complaining about the ads. Some people have very unrealistic expectations. Crunchyroll lets you watch your anime shows *free* but with ads. Pay monthly for Premium membership and you watch ad-free. This is not unusual and it makes rational sense. If you enjoy anime Crunchyroll is the best repository for all that is anime. Netflix also has a decent collection, but they too have a paid subscription model. Still way cheaper than cable. Count yourself lucky we live in this convenient digital age.
Good idea however... I like the fact that i can see free anime legally however: -4min50secs of ads by anime it's A LOT furthermore you can not skip several ads. I am ok and understand that ads are vital for Crunchyroll, but please reduce it. -The videos crashes very often, my samsung J5 is new and have no issues. So a lot of issues in the video loading to fix.
