In General the App is helpful but it only works 50% of the time. Earlier last week I couldn't login and had to spend hours with the Hotline. Now it's not working at all anymore on my BlackBerry KeyOne, i.e. Android for BlackBerry - not sure if that is connected to the "rooted" thing but please solve and just make it work!
I was a big fan of Paymit and then TWINT and I love being able to link it to my Credit-Suisse bank account, however outright blocking rooted device is a very shortsighted decision as I cannot use this app anymore after the latest update. I've switched back to UBS TWINT which works fine. This is one more step that is making me consider moving my bank account away from CS because of there lackluster online applications.
Tried to send or to request money and failed. Despite the entered amount and the contact's phone number I never got the SEND/REQUEST button enabled. And no hint about what is wrong. So if the app does not deliver its main features, I cannot rate it any higher. (Tried to send to registered user, request from unregistered, cs account is visible, OnePlus 3T with Android 8.0).
I used to love it and tried to support TWINT from the very start despite all the troubles and delays. Even if i see no long term future in a Swiss-only home grown solution i feel that every effort to get people into electronic payments should be supported. However now i'm very disappointed and must give one star because the app no longer allows rooted devices ! Very, very bad !! Sure, there are risks and putting up a few warnings makes sense - but don't outright block it without any override options. In general people who root their device are "advanced" and responsible enough to understand what they are doing, they don't need a "big daddy" telling them what the can or can not do. The CS mobile banking and secureID (at least for now) work fine with root, so does AndroidPay and all the e-wallets from other countries i use regularly. [and by the way, for now TWINT UBS and TWINT prepay still work with root too - i wonder if they will follow this stupid move]
I have a Fairphone 2 which is not rooted but app tells me that I have a rooted device...so not able to use the app
