The Maker Intelligence Equalizer is the result of an educational project conducted by the Thomas Maker team, who conceived it in 2018. The equalizer works with the “Symptoms Approach”, used by Project Zero to outline characteristics present in environments of maker learning.
According to the Project Zero research center, maker experiences must have three common pillars (constellations): community, learning and space. The equalizer is a tool that can help design activities that ensure the promotion of the skills needed for students to collaborate, empathize, build, invent and share meaningful ideas and products for the local and global community.
