This is a good hurricane tracking app which is what I wanted. But the notification are ridiculously overdone and there is no setting to disable some or all notifications and there is no way to dismiss a warning so that I don't get it every 15 minutes for the next 2 hours. And this is a hurricane app so why are you pushing flood and tornado warnings to my phone without giving me the ability to set what I want and don't want.
Horrible app. Will give you the same warning notification every 2 minutes and your phone is constantly buzzing. During the last hurticane, it started with tropical storm warnings and continued with hurricane warnings for a full 48 hours every 2 minutes. I literally have hundreds of warnings and phone notifications for the same storm. I actually shut off the notifications because they were more annoying than the actual storm... I still have hundreds of them under "alerts" on their app dating back to 2014 with no way to delete them. WTF??? I will delete the app itself and depend on my TV or battery radio for storm updates in the future.
Sucks App sucks. It does not save any of your areas or alerts you select
Death by Notification First of all, I want you clarify. This is actually a good app. Good information, good warnings, I do recommend it. However! It is absolutely horrendous on notifications. The same single floor warning will initiate a dozen buzzes on the phone, replicating the warning over and over as different warnings. If you have both Hurricane and Flood apps, you get twice that. They have to fix this!
Great App Downloaded for hurricane Matthew and working great. Will use always for emergencies. Great resources, tools and user friendly. For those complaining about too many notices/alerts, did you realize you can set each warning to either "Notification" or "Alert" or both? You have to set up, as default is for BOTH to be turned on. And if you have a "watch" AND a "warning" set, you'll end up with double the alerts as a watch is 36hrs out and a warning is 48hrs out; csusing overlap if you have them both on.
We heard some users were finding the grey font hard to read so we've now made it black
We know some of you use larger font sizes on your phone's so now we observe that too and make the alerts nice and big
Some of you reported a bug where our app was using too much space so we put the app on a little diet meaning you can have that space back.
Fixed a bug where deleting monitored locations would incorrectly report success when it wasn't. We recommend pulling down to refresh your locations.
