Whiskey should only be drank one way. Straight with no Ice. “Neat” as connoisseurs would call it. And that’s how Div, the Victorville, CA born emcee serves up his latest offering - aptly titled ‘Neat’. The album, which released July of 2015, embodies everything following his decision to leave Clark Atlanta University - which set in to motion a series of unfortunate events for the young emcee separated from his family for the first time, living in Atlanta’s adult playground. On “Tried” he reflects ‘I went from Starbucks in February to coffee from Commissary, I got story momma and girl its legendary”. Div is self reflective throughout ‘Neat’ touching on his triumphs (“Bravos”), Love (“Childish”) and moving way way on (“Enough”). The project comes at a time when he has been given a 2nd chance following his debt with society to bring much needed discipline to his life and career. Order. Neat-ness.
