great app but can be improved i would definitely give it 5 stars for performance because it does what it is supposed to do. but the problem is (at least for me) when i turn silent mode on the icon does not change; the bell icon remains. but for vibrate the icon changes. and i think the green color should indicate silent mode because after all we are turning on Silent Mode. but in this widget it is red for silent. All other widgets in this series(bluetooth, wifi etc) are awesome in terms of that. i really hope the developer will consider that.
SilentMode OnOff - LOVE IT Best widget I have on my Motorola Droid!!! I was very upset when the behavior of the volume rocker changed with the release of Froyo 2.1. SilentMode OnOff allows me to quickly toggle between Ringer, Vibrate, & Silence on the fly. Now I'm not dependent on the programming choices of the Froyo developers. With the exception of Phone, Email, & Messaging, SilentMode OnOff is the next mostly used app on my device.
It works! Has 3 modes: Ringer/sound on, Vibrate only, and absolute silent. I've been looking for an app that has "silent" and this one fits. Sometimes, say in a library, even vibrate is too loud. You also end up draining your battery if texting a lot and it is constantly vibrating. Don't let the picture fool you, it actually has 3 modes. It's great! Ad free as well.
Awesome Simple and very useful use only way I can even get my phone completely silent. Use it every night and best part is my alarm function still sounds but pesky texts and phone calls don't. Best and most usefull app I believe I have
Very easy Once installed this little baby just sits on your home screen. If like me you need to change from ringing to vibrate or silent a lot then this is for you. Easy to use with just a single tap, no more looking through tabs and menu's, it's just there waiting. Fast, simple and easy to use.
Terrific! This widget adds a feature that should be standard in Android. It's a relief to be able to quickly turn volume on and off from the home screen. (It isn't compatible with March 2016 Samsung update, but still works on HTC M9.)
* froyo layout fix
