mediocre it's better than their site, which isn't saying much, but it's obnoxious to use. way too busy, you have to click through multiple pages to do the simplest thing. you have to individually load coupons into your account, and prescriptions you fill on the app still don't get counted to your account unless you present the card, which they almost never ask for at the store. everything loads slowly. the notification settings don't work at all.
Hire New Developers! This is consistently one of the worst apps on my phone. On its best days, it's horrendously slow. On its worst days, like today, it errors out when trying to access prescription info or fails to perform in some other way. If it weren't for the friendly and reliable staff at our local CVS store, I'd dump this app completely and take my pharmacy business to one of the competitors where I can get most items, including my prescriptions, for less money. For a company of this size, their app is pathetic.
DO NOT Install this new Update on the CVS App, unless you want to kill your WiFi! (ver 2.7.2, 5/16/16). CVS stores now have Bluetooth Beacons that will push out messages to any smart phone running the CVS App. In Addition, most Android phones have this new functionality called Bluetooth Low Energy (BLE). This gives apps the ability to more frequently scan for Bluetooth signals with out draining the phone battery. However, if an app is scanning for bluetooth devices too frequently (like I am pretty sure this updated CVS App does), it will disrupt your WiFi connection. Sure enough, since my CVS App updated to this new version a few days ago, I was not able to maintain a stable WiFi connection. To solve or avoid this problem either: 1) Do not update the App 2) Disable Bluethooth on your smartphone (not a good option for most) 3) Go into the CVS App, and under Notification Settings, turn off the Pharmacy and MyDeals and Rewards Notifications.
This app sucks. It is slow and keeps shutting down and freezing. If i didnt have so many meds to fill for my kids, i definitely wouldnt have this on my phone. The new update sucks worse than the last one!!!
Great App, but soo slow! Both the app and web site are very, very slow and I have high speed Comcast service. I don't have this issue with other store apps.
Runs in background too much The app is convenient but it wants to run constantly in the background, wasting my battery. So basically, it's smarter to just go to website instead.
