ROM Updater is meant to be an universal, free tool to maintain your Android modified operating system up to date.

It's repository-based, maintained by the ROM developer. It's able to recognize the mod name and version and will let you see the available updates, incremental or full download.

It has a full support for the most common recovery actions (cache/data wipe, apply zip update, backup etc). There are a lot of ROM's out there, some CyanogenMod-based and some not. The CyanogenMod team go much further than ROM functions, they develop apps with increased functionality over stock or older versions.

This application is designed to install these CyanogenMod apps as system apps, regardless of your ROM! You now have the choice between installing it normally, or pushing it to your system partition

The process is designed to be as simple as possible
• select your app
• press download
• press install (Root or non-root methods now available!)
• reboot (if required)

The system will refresh them upon reboot, and the app should be installed

Issues

This app isn't perfect! There isn't much I can do about these things though after looking into it, sometimes it works and sometimes it doesn't, for seemingly no reason. The most common errors are listed below

• The application not installing. As I do not make these apps, I have simply pulled them from CyanogenMod, I cannot guarantee that these will install. Please try both methods if you are rooted, and they should work, but I cannot guarantee compatibility.

• Root install "Process completed" but not showing up. This means that the apk was successfully pushed to your system partition, however the system has not detected that it's been there, or it is incompatible. A reboot might refresh the system, but this means that the application is not compatible with your system.

• Parsing errors. If checking Information under the installed app and the installed file size matches the downloaded file size, then this may be an issue with your device or ROM, and this is due to a incompatibility with the application and your device. An older version might work, but at the moment older versions of apk's aren't supported. The latest apk's are pulled from the CM nightlies every week or so. Sorry

• Voice+ showing SMS Permission error. Unfortunately this error is nothing to do with me, it is the design of the VoicePlus application and there's not a lot I can do about it. I recommend trying: Uninstalling Voice+, Use a file explorer (such as root browser) to go to your default storage directory, and there should be a folder labelled CMApps. Inside here are the downloaded apks. Try installing it from here (assuming your Unknown sources in Security is ticked)

If it doesn't work you'll have to go and grab a CM build for your phone, extract the apps and attempt to push them yourself.

Why does ROM Manager ask for account permissions?
Web Connect only needs to access your Google account to connect it to your google account. It can't access any private data or passwords.

ClockworkMod Touch Recovery:
ClockworkMod Touch recovery (and recovery) is work that needs to put in for every new device that is released by a manufacturer.
If work on ROM Manager ceased completely, all the premium features would continue working without issue. However, new recoveries do not port and build themselves. Without ClockworkMod Touch being a per device purchase, there is no way to recoup recurring server costs and labor. Keeping ROM Manager free and operational costs tens of thousands of dollars a year, and that does not include engineering costs.

Troubleshooting:
Droid users: Stuck at the "M" logo? Flash an alternate recovery and flash back to ClockworkMod.
HTC Users: Flash recovery not working? Try fastbooting a recovery on.

Samsung users: You must flash a Clockwork compatible kernel first (see XDA forums)

Calculator extends the 4 function calculator. It's simple and uncluttered, but gives you access to advanced functions with a swipe. Graphing, matrices, base conversion, and more are at your finger tips, and only when you need them.

Calculator also has a widget, a floating calculator, and 7 (and counting) alternative themes. It also runs on Google Glass.

History:
Calculator was started in June 2012, by Will (myself) and Sean, as developer and designer respectfully. Over 4 months, we added basic support for matrices, graphing, and history, and in October 2012, Calculator became officially included within CyanogenMod (and most custom ROMs soon thereafter). Calibration needs to be done after flashing a new ROM, but you can calibrate any time you think your battery is miscalibrated. This program does it by removing the batterystats.bin system file. The OS generates a new clean batterystats file soon, thus any fake information from the previous ROM is removed.
It's suggested, but not necessary, to let the phone fully discharge after calibration, then charged to 100% without break.

The app shows your actual battery status, and only allows you to start the calibration (i.e. removes the file) when it's fully charged, unless you force earlier calibration.
The voltage meter can be useful too. Full charge is around 4200mV.
There is an option to beep when 100% is reached so you don't have to closley follow the changes.

This is exactly the same as the free version. Buy this version only as a way of saying thanks.
