It is impossible to end the rental without calling. Every time I end the rental and retrieve my bike using the app, it doesn't actually end, and keeps running until I call support. Support does usually answer and end it for me within 10min.
Just tested it out once, added money, hit the rent button and the locker swung open, let me cancel it whenever and didn't even charge me for the few minutes. So, works pretty well, but I wish the app made it more obvious why selecting a locker was greyed out because I was confused as to if the locker accepted the app or not and just needed to walk closer to it.
OK. let me see if I have this right. Even though the app has my account info complete with credit card info the value on my card doesn't show up on the app. So I have to charge up the app, and the card, separately. If true, that's a BIG minus. If false, then guidance please.
