About this game

Toziuha Night is a 2D side-scrolling action platformer with features of a metroidvania RPG. Travel through different non-linear maps set in a dark fantasy world; such as a gloomy forest, demon-infested dungeons, a ruined village and even Count Dracula's castle. This game is currently in development.

Play as Xandria, a beautiful and skilled alchemist who, using an iron whip, fights against the most fearsome demons and other alchemists seeking to obtain a millenary power. To accomplish her mission, Xandria will use various chemical elements to perform powerful attacks and spells.

Features planned for the final version:

- A map with a minimum of 7 hours of gameplay.
- Any player will be able to design their own map, other players will be able to download it and play.
- More playable characters with different gameplay mechanics.
- A DLC map that tells the story about how Xandria became an alchemist and her battle in Dracula's castle.

Ratings and reviews

Maybe it's just me but I could never figure out how to use the elemental circuits. Help menu just says hold up but that alone doesn't do anything and I tried holding up plus every button. Only thing I can think of is maybe it wasn't already equipped despite having them selected on the equip screen. I also didn't see an indicator for exactly where I was on the map. Not such a big deal for the demo but hopefully gets fixed in the bigger game.

Has potential but needs alot more work. It feels like a very empty, clumsy, unpolished game so far that I would not pay for. The controls are the worst. They register half the time, which is manageable until you get to a boss where movement is key. The bosses themselves aren't difficult and have fairly basic patterns. It's the terrible controls that get you killed and is really holding this game back. Tip: To use spells, combine them with the rocks you pick up. Electric+Copper. Hydro+Oxygen.

For the gameplay and the guide is pretty good. if you want to make a one time premium version complete with DLC that's great, but it's better if the official artwork is revised with a more luxurious quality. because art also gives charm value. actually it would be better if the map was a bit long as a side scroll with secret areas and puzzle challenges so you feel adventurous. and there is a statue in the middle map that can be used for shop/unlimited resources to recover like frogatto
