About this app

Danske ID is Danske Bank’s secure authentication app. You can use Danske ID to authorise and approve actions on Mobile Bank, eBanking, District and other Danske Bank requests.

You will need to be registered for eBanking or a registered District User in order to use the app.

To begin using the app, just download the app to your device and follow the activation steps.

When using Danske ID for the first time, you will need your eBanking User ID/District User ID and Passcode/Password.
You will also need to create a PIN code to log on to the app. For extra security you should choose a unique PIN code that you don’t use anywhere else.
Once the activation is complete, your Danske ID is ready to use. Simply log on and slide to approve when prompted by Danske Bank to do so.

IMPORTANT INFORMATION FOR CUSTOMERS IN THE UK
If you are a business customer, you must be a registered District User to use Danske ID.
If you are a personal customer (aged 13 years and over) of Danske Bank in the UK using eBanking and have your eBanking User ID and passcode you can log on and use many of the features of the Danske ID. You must be registered for and have logged on to eBanking to use Danske ID. The Danske ID app may be temporarily unavailable when we are carrying out routine maintenance.

When it works, it works. But then every 3rd or 5th time, it really doesn't work at all. Even when I've got great connectivity, sometimes receiving the identification request takes ages, if it even arrives. And then if you're lucky, whatever device you were logging into actually lets you log in. Sometimes you get into a vicious loop of messages sending but failing to send until you just decide whatever important thing you needed to identify yourself for actually isn't worth the stress.

Kuulostaa siltä, että mutkia tosiaankin on ollut matkassa. Huomaathan, että ID-sovellukseen on tarkoitus kirjautua vasta sen jälkeen, kun olet ehtinyt lähettää tuon tunnistuspyynnön. Suddenly got an error for "AnyDesk detected, cannot start this software until it is removed". Are you serious? AnyDesk is a perfectly good app with lots of valid use cases. It's definitely not automatically a malicious app. Let the user check a "I know what it is and it's okay" checkbox with a big red warning sign and continue the usage. I'm seriously thinking about changing my bank in the long run for stupid things like this.

The app does not work. It will allow me to get to the identification stage, however as soon as I type in my security code a notification pops up "There seems to be a technical issue. Try again later." I have tried to delete the app multiple times, I've restarted my phobe and I've contacted Danske Bank's Customer Service. It is unfortunate that this is the only method to access my personal details. I wish we could at least have the option to use our security code card when the app doesn't work.
