Nice simple and fast Works better than other mobile site fb apps. Robust and fast to start and load. Desktop switch for full fb also useful when want to do admin tasks for pages. Would be useful to have forward and back buttons like on a browser as sometimes standard android back arrow doesn't cut the mustard. PS: if you can't upload pics use Photos (google) to select and it usually works the 2nd time you try, but don't add a comment until you have attached the pic. Another hint.. Use Disa app for better messaging :)
Great app, but... Love this app until recently. Biggest is it crashes everytime i try to access messages. Havent been able to access for a week or so. I installed this app primarily because i dont want to install messanger and enjoy the space saving. So may stop using if not fixed. I unistalled and reinstalled and still crashing. Also, tagging isnt consistent, sometimes you can, sometimes you cant. Otherwise liked the app and would have given 4 stars. Note5 user.
Love it Current official Facebook app is way too monolithic. I appreciate this app's low-key approach. HOWEVER: 2016-3-29. It appears that when posting from tinfoil, link previews are not working right. This greatly reduces post visibility, and needs to be fixed. E.g., if I share from news republic to tinfoil, the link does not work. If I paste a link from my clipboard, it does not get a preview. Please fix!
Nothing fancy but it works Light app that provides a basic but perfectly functional FB interface. Much preferred over lots of buggy, memory hog FB apps out there. If you primarily just browse with some comments, this is perfect for us who don't spend most of our waking hours on FB and social media.
Pheww, that's better! Sure made me feel better about Facebook on my phone. The official app kept getting fatter and fatter... My only request is notifications (or I have somehow missed them). I know push notifications are something else entirely, but is it possible to check, say, every 12 hours if I have any Facebook notifications? Or is there another app entirely that would be better for that sole purpose?
The best app for Facebook So much better, lighter, and less intrusive than the official FB App. Not sure why people say the photo upload doesn't work, I've had no problems posting pictures. **Changed to SlimSocial when TF started crashing when going to messages....**
- FINE_LOCATION permission is now needed in order for the geolocation feature to work (check-ins). Location will still not be sent to Facebook unless you have the 'Allow check-ins' option enabled.
- Use a wide viewport in order to try to avoid images going off screen
- New icon using material design specs by Constantin Eckstein
- Bug fixes
- Please remember this is just a wrapper to Facebook's mobile site and we have no much control of content and layout changes.
