Passwords are the Achilles heal of security. I have used Dashlane since it's release and am quite happy.
Great app, I just wish there was an option to turn off defaulting to the Recent passwords view. I don't tend to be looking for the passwords of accounts I've recently checked. This just causes an extra couple of clicks needlessly. At least give people the option to turn recent off. I dont know about other people but i tend to like to search for the server name, or the user name to find it's password. It's a pain in the a$$.
This app allows you to seamlessly transition your old crappy passwords into long and strong ones. Just make your main email password strong and dont change it with dashlane so you have a way to reset your passwords if you lose your phone for your 2fa. I like that I can send passwords to devices that I dont want to download my database to as well.
Two weeks in. My credit union website had security question saved as password. I blame the Chiefs for poor design. I was getting duplicate entries but that was user error. I cannot get Dashlane to work on home Chrome browser. Works on work laptop.
I purchased this and I am very satisfied. I sync it with all my devices and I haven't had any issues. I must that it works better with android devices than the iPhone. With my android phone, I am able to log into my banking apps, where the iPhone I had to use the browser instead of the bank app
The only problem I've had is it stopped working. It let's me sign in, then it neither signs my in to any saved accounts nor does it ask to save any passwords. It was a lovely app and it may be pilot error, but as there are no hints of what I may be doing wrong, no stars for now.
We update Dashlane regularly with improvements to your app. Some you can see, and some are behind the scenes. Keep updates switched on to make sure you never miss one.
