1-Dave is not a bank. Banking services provided by Evolve Bank and Trust, Member FDIC, or another partner bank, which issues the Dave Debit Card through a license from Mastercard®. ExtraCash amounts range from $25-$500, typically approved in 5 min, with an overdraft fee equal to the greater of $5 or 5%. Multiple overdrafts may be required. Not all members qualify for ExtraCash and few qualify for $500. ExtraCash is repayable on demand. Must open an ExtraCash overdraft deposit account and Dave Checking account. Up to $5 monthly membership fee for ExtraCash, Income Opportunity Services, and Financial Management Services. Optional 1.5% fee for external debit card transfers.

Ratings and reviews

Was a good service until they changed their policies. Now you pay the membership fee and $10 to withdraw. They split your advance into 2, and each withdrawal fee is $5 each. So, if your advance was say $200 you can get $100 first, plus pay the $5 fee. Then you can get the other $100 and pay another $5 fee. This doesn't improve the customer's experience. It just fills the pockets of the app's investors with more money without any benefit to the user. Pure greed.

The app was working just fine for me for the longest time, but now after the update with split advances, all of sudden when I try to cash out at all it just says "dave hit an issue loading your advances summary" I've deleted and updated the app, restarted my phone, and nothing works. Idk what happened after the most recent update, but the app is practically unstable at this point.

Ok, just when I thought it couldn't get worse...it got much worse. So now, no matter what, I'm paying a membership fee AND a per draw fee that is NOT optional AND they split your maximum amount availabilities so if you want to draw any more, you're forced to do two transactions AND pay an extra fee on both. What. The. Frick. This is NOT what I signed up for. Once I pay what I owe, I absolutely plan on deleting. It feels slimy the way the new fees are structured. Do not recommend.
