Slim and fast like the palm version I work in a research lab that has been using this software for years to collect data. We've used Palm devices for much of that time and more recently used itouches. The itouches, however are heavy with animated graphics and colors that slowed the speed of data collection. I am grateful Dave kept the Android version simple. I've tested it on one android device and it works much faster than the itouch version. We will now be replacing all our Palm devices with androids. Thanks Dave for making this possible!
Excellent Used on Palm, now Android. No isues with data across platforms. Developers very responsive and quick to address issues even at holiday periods as occured at New Year. Recommended. EDIT : Development has largely ceased, and is unlikely to be further updated. Still works, but for how long before an Android change trashes it remains to be seen. Still 5 star for operation and features, but cannot recommend for new starters.
Needs to have better customer service The score is given because of the lousy customer service. There are suggestions and questions that I would like to get from the company, but there is no easy way. The support forums use TapaTalk, but are not allowing new registered members, and the support email asks for information that has nothing to do with my questions, and the email is never sends. I quess they love the money, but not theier customer.
Works well, easy to use, dependable. Easy to design databases. I am not one to reinvent the wheel when it comes to apps. I looked and looked, but I couldn't find apps that would work for me. So I bought this and made three database apps that I use several times a week. Lots of templates to choose from. Two of my apps were made from modified templates. Only one was from scratch. Used on Nexus 7 2013. Update 7/23/14 - Also great, fast technical support. ****** 6 star app!
Perfect for record keeping The two features I like the most are creating custom record formats and pull downs and the web server feature for quickly transferring databases or CSV files of the data. This made it easy to transfer a database created on an Apple iPod to an Android cell phone and use it. The import and export csv data on the web server lets me use the mobile devices for data capture and reference while performing data manipulation, merge, and analysis in desktop spreadsheets transferring data in either direction.
I have had this over 5 different platforms But in android the inability to see a full line in the list view is just about to send me looking for a new app. The company was looking into the problem a couple of years ago and nothing has changed. I think that their lack of commitment to the Android platform makes this not worth paying for.
