About this game

You have been bitten by a radioactive bandana and your unfortunate superpower is to charge forward without being able to stop!

Banzaiman is a pretty tough action platformer with some light puzzle elements. The game features over 90 hand-drawn levels of varying difficulty. Everything in the game has been made from scratch by one man (me!) over the span of the last 5 years, down the multiplatform game engine it runs on!

It was important to me to not make any compromises on the quality of the game for business reasons, so it has no ads or microtransactions. You can play through the first two worlds to see if you like it and unlock the full version from inside the game (via an in-app purchase) if you do! The full version also includes an optional checkpoint feature that you can use for harder levels if you feel like you need a helping hand.

I'd love to hear what you think of the game, so if you feel like it, send me an email to the contact address below (or somewhere on this page) or a message on twitter to @pauli_dsb

Permissions:
- Billing: You can unlock the full version of the game with a one time purchase that includes everything. There are no other in-app purchases or microtransactions, don't worry!

Please report all issues and bugs to bugs [at] banzaiman [dot] com and I'll do my best to resolve them! Thanks for the help!

Hope you enjoy the game and thanks for checking it out!

Known issues:
Samsung Galaxy Trend+: Multitouch is broken. You can clear the game but some levels will cause problems.

So after my initial thoughts if the game, I thought I'd go back and take another look at it. Did a second play through make me change my mind about this game, sorta. I can praise some of the level design where it is a times intuitive but mostly kinda generic. And having an on rails character with no way to change direction is bad and then mixed with questionable wall jump mechanics, it dosent really seem fluid. The animation, art style, and sounds are the best part about this game. I just wished played good

It has indeed been influenced by many PC platformers, but the roots are much older like Jumper by MattMakesGames. Thanks for the positive feedback about the art style, but I'm hoping you'll check some later levels, since they start with simpler design while the player is learning. I'll have to test with a MotoG if you say it feels unresponsive.

It's hard. It's free up to a point. You like Super Meat Boy? It's kind of like that.

Hey! The full version should not require you to be online. The only time you need to be online is when purchasing the game or restoring it for the first time on another device. Could you contact me through the support email so we can try to resolve this? Thanks!

What's new

- Fixed full version not being unlocked on some devices when offline. Please start the game once in online mode for this to take effect! No kind of always online requirement was ever intended; this was simply an error due to differences in system versions and cache behavior.
