Motion alerts work spotty or not at all on our various devices. I'm not looking to babysit this app to make sure alerts are working. This app is a deal breaker for the whole system - I want to know when someone is in or around my home while they are there and not just after the fact.
The app is horrible. Sometimes it brings up the dvr but 9 out of 10 times it can't find It. Motion alerts, I turn them on, log out out of the app, log back in and the motion is turned off. I really wish I read these reviews before I purchased the system. I would've never bought this if I knew this was going to happen. I would like to know when someone is around my house, not after everything is gone and I'm looking back at the dvr. All in all very dissatisfied with the app
App seems to have been designed by an engineer. Lots of features but not very user friendly. My biggest complaint is the spotty push notifications. Sometimes it's immediate, sometimes it's an hour. I got a block of 17 notifications all at once last night.
Very happy with the camera/quality of picture.. Works very easily on an Android phone, but if you have an Android tablet it will not let you click on channel to open it like on the phone. You have to drag and drop the channel on the gray box that you want the feed on and it will work.. ;)
Initially it worked a bit, but as of late I can't get it to display any of my feeds. It indicates that it is connected to the DVR, but no feeds load. The app for my iPhone works much better and almost always loads the videos feeds. This Android version is currently a disappointment. Note: both my apps and the DVR software is current.
Just will not work. Have tried and tried, just see black screens. It will not even connect to device for me to click on that. Support has been very poor. Reading there is a newer app. Just don't see it in Google store. Have tried several more times to get to see our cameras on a Android tablet which was just updated to Marshmallow. The newest release for our tablet. Still get nothing but blank screen and it will not connect to the DVR. Defender has a good team for the cameras, but most of there software is pure worthless. Oh, the DVR is set for auto update. I should not have to do anything. Followed instructions for updates. No difference. So please don't give a canned response.
