Works great on wifi. Works great on tab S2 using my At&t data from my Note 8 but will not work with data on my Note 8. (It would work on data on my Note 8 before the update,)(I must have been on WiFi and not realized it) BIG EDIT: If I could I would put a +10 rating. It was all my fault. I had to manually put in my IP Address as my Internet Provider is set up different from most. I had to port forward from the antenna on top of our house to my router then to my Defender HD. It was complicated but I did it. This is a great app. It works great in every way. Thank you.
Live Video is crisp and clear. I am unable to view recorded video via the app because the menu screen doesn't come up. The menu area comes up blank and grey. I have the app when I was able to access the menu, configured to send me notifications but I don't receive them. The app needs to be fixed to be useful when you are away from home where you can directly access the DVR..
Cameras work good with crisp image. However we have PLENTY connection issues when it comes to keeping 10+ phones connected all at the same time. There are only so many "tricks" you can do to try to reconnect before saying, "f - it"
I can't see anything though the app 98% of the time. It just load for ever and ever. It was good about 6 months ago, my internet is perfectly good. The play back was a pain 6 months ago, the button to select the devise didn't works 98% of the time Now, it seems to work 40% of the time but it just load and load. And that's trying with the WiFi in the house.
I bought the Defender HD 1080P 8CH with 8 Bullet Cameras. The footage is really good, but the app does not work. Contacted customer service and told me that was a server problem from their side. One month later and still not working. Each time I need to watch the recorded video I have to go to a different location where the DVR is, 10 minutes from my office.
Like others already said, the camera picture is clear and shows well on my phone. The motion detection alerts need a lot of work. You can not see the reason for the motion without additional manipulation. I love the system but the app could use some improvements.
