The app kept delaying my delivery bit by bit (5mins each time) after 45 mins I decide to call the customer service. I've been told sorry for the delay but the driver was finally there. I wait 15 mins more, the app still delays my delivery. I decide to call the restaurant direct, the food is ready but nobody is picking it up! I call customer service again. Finally they figure out they can't reach their driver, with my support! Customer is helping the customer service!! I would like to help you more by denoting that 5 Euro gift you offered to me, maybe you improve your service and won't destroy one's day again. Because I won't use this service in this conditions.
The app itself is really good. Easy to use and well designed. The only downside I've found so far is the availability of delivery people. Deliveroo is new in my area but when you are told your order will be 1-2 hours or cant be taken its frustrating. It is good when it works though. Would be good if you could rate or leave feedback about the restaurants. Also the map needs to be tweaked. Its not very accurate at telling you where delivery is. Not a major issue but could be improved. Thanks!
ordered a pizza and received something completely ruined. I sent them a picture and the guy was being helpful and a full compensation reached the account just a few minutes. that's fair enough. So i placed the second one. after waiting for an hour, i rang them again. they said they couldn't cancel order or refunded it for being too late. I asked for an email address to complain. none existed！it eventually arrived after 1hour and 17mins though! fantastic service！uninstalled it for good!
More times than not my orders are rejected. I also have to wait about 10 minutes before finding out its been rejected. If certain items are not available let me know before I order them, and let me change my order instead of just rejecting it. If I'm expected to call the shop before placing my order I don't see why I'd bother using Deliveroo.
Works well, wish there was a little more choice for food options but generally happy with it. Edit: I just had the weirdest discovery, when I was putting in the delivery time I realised it may be a little later than I initially wanted so I decided to go back and change it, but then discovered that without having previously confirmed the booking, suddenly I have confirmation emails of two deliveries. And so I went about trying to figure out how to cancel one of the orders. Which is not possible without contacting the admin. To me that's kinda strange to not have an option to cancel an order. You should probably look into that. On the plus side the customer service response was fast.
Wouldn't allow me to cancel or change order or delivery address. Claimed the order was already dispatched which was a lie as i contacted thier customer service live chat seconds after order was placed. Extremely angry and deliveroo language was unapologetic and unhelpful. Will not be ordering from them again.
Bug fixes and performance enhancements might sound boring, but they make ordering food with Deliveroo even better. There’s nothing boring about that, right?
