Setup doesn't work! Account registration fails on the app, however you can find their website and create an account there and then sign in on the app. When setting up the connection to the battery tender, the phone will connect to the battery tender's WiFi, the app just doesn't recognize that there is a connection. This makes setup impossible. The product says it works with an app, that's false advertisement as far as I'm concerned.
Worked until you updated, now it doesn't work. Now it doesn't like my email format. In the trash it goes. I don't have time for junk.
Won't connect Connects to battery tender device but will not connect to internet. Neat idea, terrible execution. Setup is long (and never works) and the touch screen parts are small.
This could be a GREAT app, but it isnt. There is a reason why there is less that 1.000 downloads of this app, because the product is not functional. This product is designed to connect to you home Internet, but that will never happen. The few that "have it working" are only in the setup mode which is why it looses the settings over and over. There are two parts of this setup, when your phone connects to the SSID of the device to run the setup (slow flash), and next when you train your device to connect to your home wireless (fast flash). It never makes a connection to my wireless, I use a network tracing tool and it shows the device never attempts to make a connection. The Help int he app had dead links and the FAQ site on BT is full of no good information. P.S. What geek wants to see a % representation of their battery, no one. We want to see voltage values.
Shuts off phone wifi during setup??? When trying to initially set up the device, the user is supposed to connect to the wifi network that the device needs to be on. But the buggy app shuts off wifi once you attempt to locate the device. Without wifi, the device can't be seen, so it fails. As soon as the app fails, the phone reconnects to wifi. It's a complete failure of function. Extremely disappointed and frustrating.
I wanted to like this, but the app is terrible. The "easy on screen guide" for setup is non-existent (as is the online help). Every step you have to figure out yourself, including how to recognize the device. It does not work with networks that do not broadcast their SSID's nor does it support networks that require the use of a username. The app itself frequently locks up when run in the background; This would not be so much of a problem except that the app loses the device configuration and the only way to recover is to start the device configuration stage from step one. (Which means you have to physical access the device, and be in the immediate vicinity of it. Somewhat contrary to what you would want from a "remote" device monitor.) If you must have it, exit the app immediately after checking the battery status. I have never seen the app lockup when running in the foreground. If the app would just not lose all the device configuration, or even if there was a way to manually input it it would at least be useful. But if you need to put on your shoes to access the device, it is just a pain. On the plus side, the device hardware seems quite reliable.
