Our galaxy is under attack! We need your skills as a commander to defend our last hope, a classic warmachine, a guardian of our galaxy, a space fort loaded with heavy weapons...
What's the difference between a space shooter and a scifi defense game?
In space shooter games you usually command a spaceship through a swarm of enemies and bullets, while you are getting powerups for your weapons. While on the other hand, galaxy defense games are about holding a stand against sieging enemy spaceships.
So is this a space shooter or a scifi defense game?
Space fort is more of a scifi defense game. You are in command of a static space fortress, and you need to guard our galaxy against incoming alien spaceships, carefully using your resources. Also SF is not a tower defense, you don't have to build anything, but holding up as long as you can, selecting the right targets, and using your powerups and weapons wisely.
Usually scifi defense games are in 2D. In Space Fort, we use the rotation of our field of view to guard our sector. Enemy spaceships can attack from any direction, this makes the game more intense. Here you have to watch your back!
