This game has had me hooked for almost two years now. There is always something to work on and improve. For long time Final Fantasy fans, this is the ultimate fanservice. I found this game to be more nostalgic than even other Final Fantasy crossover games like Dissidia and Theatrhythm. My only gripe is that I wish there was some sort of non-battle exploration aspect. A chance to explore the 3d FF games in 2d, even if they were brief and not the whole worlds, would be a nice touch. Highly recommended if you're looking for an addictive combat-focused rpg to devote yourself to, and super recommended for Final Fantasy fans.
Some minor technical issues with hanging or loading forever screens... but overall superb job with the idea, and best part is not needing to gatcha for your fave ff characters. Prob the least p2win of the top mobile games out there
I would rate it a 5, but the problem is that after the 6/8 update, the game ended up being super slow. Extremely slow that I had to set my battle speed to 1 just to perform a blatant laggy action. If you fix this issue, then I'll be happy to re-rate it a 5, but for now, you deserve a 3 unless you resolve it.
A fun game that makes you think about playing other Final Fantasy games. I have become invested in various characters and I am interested in Ffiv. The sprites do not work for all characters as it is hard to see differences between characters such as Vayne and Larsa. The game has missed an opportunity to create a storyline to bring the various games together. However it is a fun game that makes you want to play the full range of the Final Fantasy franchise.
I can't remain as positive as I used to be towards the game. With the various app issues such as excessively long loading times, poor performance, and issues with in-app purchases, I have soured on the game as a whole. The lack of daily missions that the japan side of the game received with the FF3 Onion Knight event that we still haven't received reeks of greed and deprives us of about 100 mythril (the in game currency) compared to where we should be. The game itself, when it runs properly is still excellent. And it is awesome to use your favorite Final Fantasy characters, or become new fans of some. But DeNA has treated the Global version of the game as an afterthought as of late.
I gave this game 5 stars on EVERYTHING! But... I have some criticism. Some of the dungeons are completely too difficult. I've been playing the game for 2 years now DIEHARD and i still can't get even close to beating some of the bosses.
