SUBSCRIPTION-BASED W/ OBTRUSIVE ADS It used to be that there would be just a simple ad banner in the bottom, I was cool with this. But apparently they decided to add ads that waste your time trying to load their content and completely prevent you from using the calculator while doing so. All on top of still needing to watch the ad afterwards. "Why not just buy it and remove the ads?" Because you CAN'T! It's a subscription-based CALCULATOR so you can't just pay once and be done with it. Unusable.

I wanted to like this app, but there were a couple of deal-breakers. One: there's no one-and-done option for paying to remove ads, there is only the monthly subscription option. Frankly, for a simple calculator app that's ludicrous. Another is that the tip calculator only gives you the option of entering the post-tax bill amount, not a pre-tax subtotal. Only the latter is useful for splitting bills. So while I like the versatility of the other things, it's just not worth it.

Works great and has all the different types of calculators I ever need in one app. I mainly use this for calculating discounts but also use for determining sales tax and tip amounts, for converting units of measurement when cooking/baking, and that's not even all that it can do. You can convert currencies, determine BMI, calculate ovulation, dates, GPA, fuel efficiency, and cost. Literally everything, and it's free, so there's no reason not to.
