What's happened to this app??. When I first downloaded and opened the app, everything was fine it worked great, and I thought, What a great app this was.. Tried opening it recently, and like most other reviews, it keeps telling me there's no internet connection, what's happened to it??. Please fix the problem urgently, working properly, it's a fabulous 5 star app!!. At the moment I'm struggling to give it 3 stars on the hope it'll be fixed. Then I'll give it the 5 stars it deserves!!. I've noticed there are no replys from the programmer "derekcsm" to all the reviews, both good and bad ones, which is not a good sign!. If it's not sorted soon, it's getting uninstalled!!. It's back up and running again for now from 29/12/16. So as promised, up to 5 stars!!..
Love the app and haven't experienced any problems with it yet. Only reason I give it four stars instead of 5 is because I know there are HD images available online for many of these. I'd pay money for an upgrade that would allow zoom with increased clarity. If not links to higher definition images online would be an easy addition to the app.
Total RUBBISH! Downloaded this App, because it looked interesting and informative, but it just doesn't even work: sometimes when I open it, it IMMEDIATELY crashes closed again, or, IF(?) I do manage to open it, when I tap on something I want to view, all I get is a little white flashing square box in the middle of the screen that does nothing in particular! Needless to say, I uninstalled so as not to waste storage on my device!
OH YEAH! IT'S BACK AND IT'S AWESOME! This app is one of just three that get an inarguable five star rating from me, and for a good reason: when it stopped working the other day, I tried everything up to and including a wipe/reinstall to no avail, so I emailed the developer. Despite it being Christmas, he sorted it out ASAP and now the only worthwhile Hubble gallery app for Android is back in full working order. Now *that's* what I call service! God bless, my friend, *thank you*, and have a Happy New Year!
They need more graphic pornography. Too many space images. Balance.
Absolutely gorgeous content with just the right amount of info. This application is almost a match made in heaven for people curious about stars and the universe. From imagery choice to loading animations, the experience has all been great.
1.5.0 quick fix 🔨
- FIX images/descriptions weren't loading due to hubblesite updating some things that the app relied on, I've moved the app over to use hubble.stsci.edu for now as a temporary fix. In the long run the app will move over to using the JSON API so as not to run into issues like this again.
- NEW German/French translations thanks @twckr and @Poussinou on Github
Thanks for the patience everyone!
