I think it does the job. Based on some of the negative reviews it seems people are just too effing lazy to do their research. Sure, not every food is listed on the search bar and yeah it's a little annoying to have to look it up but seriously, it takes like a minute or two to look most stuff up and you can quick-add it and save it as a custom food so you can pull it up next time. Barcode function is appealing but too glitchy to really use, but the rest of this app is pretty amazing. 4/5 so far. Keep it up!
Great app! I have not read any of the other reviews, however, I am greatly enjoying utilizing this app. The targets they establish are irrelevant, but the running totals makes it very easy and convenient to be mindful of where you are on a given time of the day with your macros. You simply have to know your own target goals and the nutritional breakdown of your meals and the app does the rest.
Pretty Good I particularly like that this app includes more data than just cal, fat, protein and carbs. Eg.I have to be very careful to track my potassium. Adding your own foods can be a tad time consuming, a flaw that would be easily remedied by the developer allowing access to your data/acct online, like My Fitnes Pal, which is not as comprehensive as Cals & Macros. Uploaded information by other users is frequently incomplete or inaccurate, but this is not the fault of the developer. Bar code scanner has never worked for me.
Can't log in to add custom foods! I honestly don't mind that the food database is nil. Scanning a bar code and adding the info myself is relatively painless. HOWEVER, I currently can't do that for some reason, so it's all Quick Cals which, while a great feature, isn't a substitute for adding my own foods to a list. Biggest downfall of the app so far. Other than that, the UI is kinda clunky, but gets the job done. I FAR prefer this to the likes of MFP, LoseIt, etc. App needs some serious refining, but the underlying approach is perfect.
Great Only app I could find that automatically calculates how much of each macro (protein, fat, carbs) is left for the day after adding a food.
Basic, simple, nice Left myfitnesspal after horrid updates. This one is nice, simple. No bells. Could improve favorite foods interface. A total running cals would be nice on the add food page.
- Bug fixed so now fiber added via Quick Add is shown in daily summary
- Screen rotation enabled on every screen
