# Description

At Desmos, we imagine a world of universal math literacy and envision a world where maths is accessible and enjoyable for all students. We believe the key is learning by doing.

To achieve this vision, we’ve started by building the next generation of the graphing calculator. Using our powerful and blazingly-fast maths engine, the calculator can instantly plot any equation, from lines and parabolas up through derivatives and Fourier series. Sliders make it a breeze to demonstrate function transformations. It's intuitive, beautiful maths. And best of all: it's completely free.

Features:

Graphing: Plot polar, Cartesian, or parametric graphs. There’s no limit to how many expressions you can graph at one time - and you don’t even need to enter expressions in y= form!

Sliders: Adjust values interactively to build intuition, or animate any parameter to visualize its effect on the graph

Tables: Input and plot data, or create an input-output table for any function

Statistics: Find best-fit lines, parabolas, and more.

Zooming: Scale the axes independently or at the same time with the pinch of two fingers, or edit the window size manually to get the perfect window.

Points of Interest: Touch a curve to show maximums, minimums, and points of intersection. Tap the grey points of interest to see their coordinates. Hold and drag along a curve to see the coordinates change under your finger.

Scientific Calculator: Just type in any equation you want to solve and Desmos will show you the answer. It can handle square roots, logs, absolute value, and more.

Inequalities: Plot Cartesian and polar inequalities.

Offline: No internet access required.

Wow, it's fantastic. This is so quick and intuitive to use on my large Samsung tablet. Although I have installed it on my phone too, it is rather difficult to use the small sliders there; but perhaps my thumb is too big. The associated web site has many excellent articles to explain how to get the most out of the app.

I loved this app. This is the best graphing app I have ever found in play store . It has lot more features which are absolutely free as compared to other. The only thing it lacks is scientific calculator and 3D graphing. Hope you will add this in next update.

This app is a boon for students studying in 11th & 12th standards like me. This app is too good to plot any graph and it's really good but, the only problem faced by me is the graph of a function of x( f(x) ). Whenever I try to do a function graph like f(x), it asks me to add a slider f. Here, f isn't a variable. Pls add this fix and I'll give it a High- Five.

This is such a great app to help with teaching maths. I can't recommend it enough for learning about and or just picturing what straight lines, quadratics, trig etc look like. Well done and thank you Desmos

I got semi problems. No factorial symbol provided (!) & Copy/paste would be nice. Would be cool if it had ceiling and flooring too.

Awesome graphing calculator. Can't believe it's free! Not having to enter equations in "y=" form is convenient for checking homework. Good job developers!

The app is awesome but i don't like the logo desmos blink 5-6 times wasting my 5 sec.... Plz fix it. It should open at an instant of clicking

The only graphing calculator which I like much more than that of Mathlab's Graphing Calculator but please add more functions please like that of MATLAB so that DESMOS can become the best. It is better than Geogebra's Graphing Calculator too. And at last it's better than any because it's free!!! LoL

I am giving this app 4 star although it really deserves 5 stars. The only problem i faced is that this graph calculator cannot make the graph for [x](greatest integer function).I have to use the function floor to get thr desired graph. And also to make graph of {x}(fractional part of x) i have to put x-floor(x) to get the desired graph.Apart from this it is an amazing app.I hope these are fixed soon.!!

Such an amazing graphing calculator. I've been using it while studying math in Khan academy to better understand the content(algebra 2, calculus) . It also has a menu for Trig functions and other useful common functions.

Replaced my Ti-83 calculator with this free app! ...This app works like a charm, & now I don't need to carry an extra $100 electronic that was designed back in the 1980's.

Everything's is fine... Liked it very much... Try adding more functions... Like modulus of x+something... And there's an advice 0^0=undefined....is not showing..

Nice app, but touch often gets jammed for me. Problem is with app since it's the only one it happens with.

Where is the colon in the keyboard (:)? I want to define unit step function like below u(x)={x<0:0,x>0:1} But I m not finding that colon(:) symbol in ur keyboard I m not able to type f'(x) why??? How to plot a discrete function? Also include cut copy paste option....that will be a great help Include arcosh, arctanh and arcsinh functions

i want to give it a thousand stars .its the best ,i dont have words to express it.you can literally do anything on it.you can study maths or wave motion of physics or anything else u can think of.love u desmos!!!!!

Sorry! Can you give an example of a graph that hangs? Which version were you on before? Somehow after updating, moving the variables doesn't have an immediate effect on the graph. Hope it can be fixed :)

It's a great graphing program with many useful features. And the play function on sliders is very useful. Just put in a wave equation and play the time variable and enjoy!

It cannot represent a few equations grafically , otherwise it's a marvelous app.

Desmos Inc 17 April 2017

Which equations can it not represent? Email support@desmos.com -- hopefully we can help! Amazing app. Great job guys! Thank you for developing this free app for all specially Math students & their parents :) 2 thumbs up!

Takes a long time to open even in my 3gb phone otherwise ok

All of the data goes away whenever I switch apps. I have to keep entering the data. Someone should seriously fix this

Y useful you don't even need to know how to re-arrange the equation or find the axis intercept points.

There is a problem on my Huawey p10 lite, when i make a graphic, it doesnt let me change the function, and gets bugged

A very fantastic app, it could have been better if the user have the option to enter the range in which graph is to be sketched; and also if we could extract the values at any point.

Desmos Inc 17 April 2017

Try typing something like y=2x-1 {0 < x < 3}
That will give you a restricted range. If you click and drag on a curve, it'll show you the values at that point. It's great but it would be nicer if it had steps the show you how you got the points and stuff

The best graphing calculator out there! I've been through about five different graphing calculators and this is by far the best. I don't think I'll be going through any more any time soon.

Can't draw the Mandelbrot set. It sucks. Five stars ! Btw try this function : |sin x|+5e^(-x^(100))×cos x {-π <x <π}

I did nothing¡!!!! at I will be in the office tomorrow and will be ba workck to normal soon as possible and I have to be

Its a fantastic programming done by desmos, really hates off But u should add discontinue values also (I.e, hollow sign for point discontinuity, line for gap n asymptotically discontinuing) Ex : The function is not defined when x=1x=1since x2−1x−1=12−11−1=00x2−1x−1=12−11−1=00 So it is not a continuous function.

Hey guys I'm Zayn Hussein and I have sex with dozens of hot girls every single day and I'm the richest and hottest guy in the world.

Everything is fine but you connot get graph of cosec ... you cant even type it autimoattically changes to "cos e" ... This need to be fixed as early as possible

Lightweight. With a < 3MB storage consumption, it is too efficient for an app to have this mass. I also loved it since because it can animate the graph.

Very good app. It is student friendly and less mb apps. Working quality is very nice.

I started using desmos in maths lessons at school and now I use it all the time at home. What a great app! 5 out of 5.
