No tours for anywhere near me so what us the point? Is too USAcentric
From what I can tell, you only get one tour free, which is a tour of an island in D.C. Everything else must be bought, with prices starting at $5. Some, such as Essential San Francisco, even go up to $25. For that, I'd sooner spend the money on a 2-hour tour in a tour bus than have to walk the entire tour and worry about my phone dying, being robed, etc. I can understand why the app only includes tours for major cities, but for someone like me who lives over 200 miles from the nearest city, this app is pretty worthless. Also, the false reviews aren't convincing.
Great experience - feels like you are walking around the neighborhood with a local who knows the entire history of the place. Highly recommended!
Love the idea, but didn't work for us (HTC One or Samsung S6 phones). Wasted a lot of time.
Doesn't even let you listen to the tours you've downloaded and bought unless your GPS tells the app your physically there....so you can't even listen/do to a trial run. I want to listen to it at least once first so I know what I'm gonna be walking through . Also it offered a bundled package for Los Angeles seven different tors for discount , at least I think it alluded to a discount for the bundle , but no matter where you clicked it wouldn't take you to the buy-page or info page for the bundle... so you had to download everything separately anyways . Not much of a bundle package .
Great experience discovering with Detour.
