I can't handle the interface of this app. There's always something accidentally swiping from the side or something that makes it accidentally go back to the beginning before I'm done reading. And there seems to be no way to make it show articles in chronological order by default. It always seems to sort them by category instead.

Feedly lets me easily create a "custom newspaper" by adding news feeds from anywhere, including substacks and paid sources. I can categorize them as I choose, and it curates top articles from those sources. The interface is simple and straightforward, making it easy to quickly scan headlines, mark to-reads for later, and come back to a fresh batch of relevant headlines. No garbage, no stale feeds of the same articles I've seen all day. Highly recommend.

"something went wrong" with this app. lately anytime I go underground the app inevitably throws up a full screen "failed to fetch" message which removes all the articles that I was, and could continue, to read if this was just a notification like before instead of a full screen message. the only time I use this app is when I'm on the subway. taking the subway is not "wrong"
