Excellent overview and aggregation of news from multiple sources. And it's really good at digging up the RSS/atom feed when you provide it with a website URL. The web interface is also really good (I use that more than the app). It shows just enough information to let you decide wether you want to open the article in your browser or not. And of you aren't quite sure, you can usually click the article and get a longer preview of its content. I have been using it for a couple of years, and are still happy with it.
So love the Feedly service but the app drains my battery. For some reason wake events aren't being detected as the app but being categorized under Android OS, basically never letting the phone sleep/doze. Tried removing and reinstalling to have the same behavior. This is on a Google Pixel with the latest updates. Will have to uninstall for now, hope Feedly can look into the issue and fix.
I have used more than 600 apps over the past 6 years, this is the first one I would love to review! This is exactly what I wanted. It is hard to juggle through different apps and websites for information, news and knowledge. This app gives you the best of all worlds in a neat and scientifically perfect UI to read. It is like god sent you with all resources and magic, and told you to build your own world. It may look like an exaggeration but my love for reading is such. I myself wanted to build such an app once. Thanks a lot to the Feedly team. You are making the WORLD great again :)
I switched over from Pulse, since LinkedIn burned Pulse to the ground. This app is the best replacement I've seen so far, but still needs improvements to things such as easily searching sources (Why can't I easily find an updated Wired source? I had to find the url for their rss feed to get Wired on Feedly) and more fine tuned controls to lists (instead of being auto alphabetized).
I mostly like Feedly, but it has one habit that keeps me from rating it higher. It will restart/refresh seemingly at random while I'm in the middle of using it. This is particularly annoying when I'm in the middle of watching a video, as it means I have to go back and find my place (if it's even still in my queue... sometimes the app thinks I've finished with it). I don't know why this happens but I hope that the developers will look at fixing this in future releases. Otherwise, I really enjoy the app and its functionality.
This app does it's job well. As a news reader there is not much else to be desired however, the interface is a little too sensitive for my tastes. For example it is far to easy to accidentally go to the next page of articles when moving your fingers. This is especially apparent with one page article displays.
