About this game

Gris is a hopeful young girl lost in her own world, dealing with a painful experience in her life. Her journey through sorrow is manifested in her dress, which grants new abilities to better navigate her faded reality. As the story unfolds, Gris will grow emotionally and see her world in a different way, revealing new paths to explore using her new abilities.

GRIS is a serene and evocative experience, free of danger, frustration or death. Players will explore a meticulously designed world brought to life with delicate art, detailed animation, and an elegant original score. Through the game light puzzles, platforming sequences, and optional skill-based challenges will reveal themselves as more of Gris’s world becomes accessible.

GRIS is an experience with almost no text, only simple control reminders illustrated through universal icons. The game can be enjoyed by anyone regardless of their spoken language.

I have an issue with the last objective. It involves by far the biggest area of the map, which is annoying since the main objective involved a scavenger hunt. I ended up following the same routes over and over to fully complete the objective, which got super repetitive due to the size of the area. I think the game should close the zones off once you're done with them, for this area in particular. Besides that, this game is an absolute masterpiece. Clever puzzles, STUNNING music and cutscenes.

Wow. Absolutely beautiful. The solutions to the problems/puzzles in this game are somehow designed to feel so natural and unique, that you sometimes feel like you found a solution the designers didn't intend. This puts you truly in the character's shoes. The story, and worldbuilding are so immersive yet minimalistic, I found myself audibly saying "woah" over and over again. It really feels like a journey and an experience. Intricate, innocent, and truly delightful.

As much as I–want–to enjoy this game, it is not designed or optimized for mobile phones, so go into it with that in mind. The art direction is beautiful and the music really is great, even if the whole "this game is art" is kinda in your face. I find myself wanting to relax and enjoy the game and environments, but having to plan my simple platforming a full second or so before I do it can be frustrating, especially when the margin for error in some sections is small, and frankly- frustrating.
