Ratings and reviews

Personally, I love OvenSmash and want to see it flourish. The graphics are nice, the designs are fantastic and once you find a rhythm within the game it can be so fun to play. But the latest update has left the game completely unplayable unless I turn my wifi off, which shouldn't be the case since my wifi has no connection issue whatsoever. I can only play on cellular data. Until they fix this issue, I'm not giving 5 stars.

As a casual experience, the game is pretty good. It's easy and looks nice. As a competitive game though, it sucks. The UI is overwhelming, there's no sound effects for healing, attacks, or moves which makes It hard to distinguish who is doing what and the attacks feel like nothing burgers. It also doesn't help how you can upgrade characters unless you pull them from a gacha. As the game develops, it could get way better, but as of right now, the game just isn't a good competitive game.

This game is good for the most part. The artstyle is awesome, the UI isn't too confusing, and the gameplay is actually fun. My only problem is just the lack of cookies and gamemodes, and how much the game emphasizes grinding for rewards. Also, I recently tried playing the game and it's just stuck on "verifying resource data." I tried rebooting it but it won't work. (EDIT: IT'S FIXED NOW!)
