About this app

This Android application allows you to quickly and securely read data from the Electronic Identity Card (CEI) using NFC technology. Simply enable NFC on your phone, enter CAN, enter PIN(4 digits), place your CEI near the device, and the information will instantly appear on your screen.

• NFC reading of identification data stored on the CEI chip.
• Detailed display of information: surname, given name, national ID number, sex, nationality, date and place of birth, domicile, and document details (number, issue date, expiry date).
• Cardholder’s photo, when available on the chip.
• Save as PDF – export identification details, including domicile, for archiving or later use.
• Quick re-check option for repeated scans.

• All data stays on your device – nothing is sent externally.
• Information can only be exported when you explicitly choose to (PDF, share).

Ratings and reviews

Reads the card correctly IF you know your short PIN code, IF your phone has an NFC reader and IF you know how to use it. No problems with it whatsoever. The app doesn't seem to do anything else, but what it does works exactly how I want it to. What might have been helpful is an image showing where to find the CAN code, in case people forgot. The ability to display the pin code while it's being entered is a common feature on password fields nowadays, but this app doesn't allow it. But it works.

First I had "The pin is incorect" even though its the same numbers i use for everything and I took care to dial it properly, now "communication error" over and over again, I couldn't acces this app ONE time since I got my ID and now they are asking me to come physically to get it fixed. Horribly bad app.

Gives constant error about holding the card stil, can't be used. It worked 2 months ago when I read another CEI.
