Impressive I recommend calibrating this app by placing your phone a known distance from a hard flat surface (a wall!). You can adjust the speed of sound until the results agree with the tape measure. (I had to boost mine up to 265m/s before I got sensible results). Then it becomes consistently accurate to within 1cm! Very very impressed. Not sure what I'll use it for, but I really like it. Cheers!
Very good for what it is Given the obvious limitations imposes by the available hardware, the app performs very well. Of course this is a toy app, so you can't expect it to work as your expensive laser meter.
Impressive. It works surprisingly well in quiet rooms, especially on ceilings, only off by a few inches. I have a HTC Droid Incredible 2 and it has a rear facing speaker and 2 microphones, which makes it perfect for this app. For the only one of its kind this app is awesome.
Nice BUT unreadable On a high density screen, the distances are too small. Please enlarge the text size or put a setting for it. Tested on Galaxy Note 3.
Great I consider this to be the most hi-tech app for Android. I am surprised that there are not many (if ever) alternatives. Could be handy in no light situations. I am not perfectly satisfied with the continunous ping.
Very innovative! Works quite well in an uncluttered environment with big sound reflective walls. Would be interesting if it were possible to shape the ping into a more narrow beam, perhaps through beamforming or even beamstearing on a phone with stereo speakers
