Bet $100, won, hit my goal by .2 pounds under so it was close... won 53 cents. Not cool. If you're betting big, you should win big. Go to healthy wage. I'm about to lose the one year bet I made with them last year but atleast that bet, I would've won more than double my money had I won. Much more upfront bet.
While the idea behind this product is great, the amount of money they keep is ridiculous. 25% of the pot for bets $1-99, 20% for $100-249 bets. I'm sure it's all outlined in legalese, but it's not easy to find and not clearly available on the app. I find this excessively greedy and opportunistic. The app also doesn't clearly explain what the standings mean in large groups. Is it a % of people achieving their goal? Does the number reflect the percentage achieved toward each group's goal? There's no explanation of this.
Great idea, bothersome bugs. Won't open my list of games. Edit: now I see that if I click on my profile I can find my games. But there is lots of room for improvement regarding links. Click on a notification of a comment and I have to search for it. Likewise links in a blog to a new game. Lots of luck ever finding it!
I like Dietbet but i wish their take was 15% not 25%. The payouts on most bets are pretty small because their take is so big.
So even if you win the bet you only get about 3 percent of your alloted winnings while dietbet keeps 97 percent. Not worth it at all!
Like the idea and the page. Also good with a community of people but the app is full of bugs. Last time I played in december it kept saying I had to join the game when I was already part of it. Now its saying I'm not logged in. Its really frustrating as it could be a good app. Edit: both errors would sometimes occur for an hour, right after it had been working fine. Other times it would lasts for days. Luckily never a week so I missed a weight in. Logging in and out did not help as it would show the first page fine, but now when I switch it will continue to say I'm not logged in. After a few back and forth emails with support, all I got was a "yes you got an account with that email". Which I already knew as I can use the app sometimes. :( hopefully next response is better. I've only made one account from the start so not sure what duplicate they talk about in the review response
