The app just closes way too much. 2-3 times per movie. There is no auto resume when you reopen the app. You have to search the whole library for what you were watching. Sometimes there is a resume option once to find the movie then hit play. My Genie will have 25 shows recorded to watch on it, I can only see three from my app...
Can't watch a complete episode of anything before it crashes. Also....why do i need to watch 12 2-3minute commercials if we are paying for this service...I get maybe 2 commercials...but the commercials are just breaking in wherever..its not even following the pattern of the shows. And then you can't fast forward and the DVR download doesn't work WTF!?!? I wish I kept uverse!!!
It would be nice if we could do as your commercials say we could. Like... access everything away from home (or even at home) on my tablet or phone. Does not work. I can be sitting right in front of the genie box and it says cannot locate receiver or connect to same network and everything is connected to the same network!!! FRUSTRATING! I think that might be a breach of contract since that's part of the deal. Plus, on the off chance that it does work it's stop and go buffering all the time even when I am at home.
I'm so frustrated! When I'm away from home or in a room with no Direct TV I watch on demand movies on my tablet. However the resume feature is not working when the app crashes so I have to start the movie all over again. This has happened numerous times and in most cases I was toward the end of the movie. Also the app crashes while watching live TV and the streaming quality is poor. I don't have this problem on any other streaming app. Hoping to see a much improved performance with the next update. I really want to like this app.
frequently,locks up. After last update cannot validate the app to either receiver.Can't customise home page. Must be AT&TS' merger/take over cost saving to not fix it. Will not work away from home. Kinda defeats the purpose of it. FIX IT
Liked this app. The only thing that's irritating is the fact that every show I've tried watching always without fail stops and kicks me out of the app. Need to fix asap. Very irritating
