The DirecTV for Tablets app is working again. But it still buffers excessively, stalls, freezes and just stops working. I have to restart it frequently. The regular DirecTV app performs much better on my tablet, but the video is small and it neither rotates with nor expands to fill my tablet's screen. DirecTV and your app developers, what's your problem? I bet your sponsors and advertisers wouldn't like this much. I sure don't. Several former DirecTV customers have told me that DISH's app performs much better. And DISH costs less. 👎👎
Just got my Galaxy tablet for business travel, but was pleasantly surprised to learn that I could watch my home TV instead of the crappy hotel cable. What a relief. I would have rated it a 5 but I had some issues with lag. For the most part, though, it streams just fine.
Garbage. It went from forceclose and locking up the whole tablet to now notopening at all forcing a resigning in after force closing and clearing data. Home screen customizations still don't stay. I tired to set it up on my kids phone and I'd really like the home screen choices made to stay. Also not sure but couldn't find a rating limit to set like other programs youtube, Netflix, etc.
It's a great app but everytime I try to use it lately it says DVR already in use, and it's not because I'm not home and I made sure I turned it off I wish it would work really like to watch one of my programs oh well guess I'll have to use the Comcast app thanks to my friend who gave me access to her account get it together DirecTV you update your app adding things that you can purchase how about fixing some of the problems? Looks like this is starting to happen more frequently to more people from what I'm reading here.. it's a great app if you can get it to work more than once when you're not at home.
Streaming is terrible and so is the volume. Never can connect to my DVR and when it does it loses connection. Takes forever to get started and the takes forever for the show to start. Then continually buffering. DiercTV needs to do some serious work to this app and also being an AT&T customer I'm supposed to be able to watch anywhere. I can barely watch on WiFi so I have a hard time believing I can watch "anywhere". Keep trying to send a report but it will not let me. Good luck to everybody else!
This is by FAR the worst app I have ever used for anything! wont download shows from dvr, wont connect to dvr, says either I dont have a certain model of dvr and or need high speed internet connected to receiver (which I have both) and worst of all the app crashes every few minutes and loops ads like you cant believe.as a test it took almost 2 hours to get through a 45 minute show due to ads and the app crashing and sometimes starting teh show over with no way to fast forward. BS dumpster fire here, and thats an insult to dumpster fires. get better satellite provider or cable and a real app that works!! STAY AWAY!
